I myself have been plnyiag with Titanium for something like a week, and I can't agree more with you on the unbelievable amount of inconsistencies on several levels : documentation, API compatibility with iOS / Android, etc.But even with all these problems, I find that for common projects, it is still better to use Titanium than having to learn Objective-C / Java, because you can reach more people with only one base. And the hard part for Appcelerator is that they have to prioritize their API development according to what their premium customers are needing, and they have to find the right balance between adding support for new APIs, or debugging the code they have already written, so they won't be left behind by native OSes new abilities.Well, to sum it up, I agree with you on the frustration that can come when debugging your code (on Android specifically), but I kind of understand the position where Appcelerator is, though I hope they can figure out a way to clean out a lot of their APIs really soon.
